Transportation & practical information

Pike Place Market, the waterfront, and Belltown are all walkable from here. Link light rail (Westlake and University Street stations) reaches the airport and Capitol Hill directly, and the monorail connects Westlake Center to Seattle Center in about two minutes.

Skip the rental car for a stay in central Seattle. Downtown parking is expensive and often scarce, traffic can back up badly at rush hour, and light rail plus walking cover Downtown, Belltown, Capitol Hill, and Queen Anne well. A car only starts to make sense for day trips out to the mountains or the Olympic Peninsula.
