The Magnificent Mile is the stretch of Michigan Avenue running north from the Chicago River, lined with department stores, flagship boutiques, and some of the city's grandest hotels. East of the avenue, Streeterville extends toward Lake Michigan and Navy Pier, with quieter residential side streets and easy lakefront access.

Transportation & practical information

The Red Line stops nearby, buses run the length of Michigan Avenue, and it's a flat, easy walk south to the Loop or west into River North.
