Where to Stay in Colva and Benaulim, Goa

Colva and Benaulim are two beach villages on the same stretch of South Goa coast, a couple of kilometers apart. Colva is South Goa's oldest and largest beach resort town, a former fishing village and 1960s hippie hangout that grew into a full tourist town from the 1980s on. Benaulim, just south, is quieter and more residential, with its own long sandy beach and village character.

What it's actually like to stay here

Slower and more low-key than North Goa's beach towns. Colva has a small, busy village core near the beach with shacks, restaurants, and souvenir stalls; Benaulim is more spread out and residential, with paddy fields and coconut groves between the village and the sand.

Transportation & practical information
