Transportation & practical information

Psarou is about a 10-minute drive from both Mykonos Town and the airport, with a public bus connection via the Platys Gialos road; a seasonal water taxi also links Psarou to Platys Gialos along the coast.

Skip a rental car if you're staying in Mykonos Town and mostly walking, bus-hopping, or taxiing to a couple of organized beaches. Consider one, or an ATV, if you want to reach quieter beaches on the north or east coast on your own schedule — buses cover the main south-coast beaches well, but taxis can be genuinely hard to find in peak season.
