Transportation & practical information

Everything in the district is walkable. Köln Hauptbahnhof (the main train station) and the Dom/Hbf Stadtbahn stop sit right at the cathedral's edge, connecting to the rest of the city.

Don't bother with a car here. Most of the Altstadt's streets are pedestrianized or narrow and one-way, and parking near the cathedral is scarce and expensive.
