International Drive — I-Drive to locals — is an 11-mile tourist strip lined with hotels, restaurants, outlet malls, mini golf, dinner shows, and ICON Park, home to the 400-foot Wheel observation wheel. It runs roughly parallel to Interstate 4 between the Orange County Convention Center and Universal Orlando, and it's less a neighborhood than a purpose-built entertainment corridor — but a genuinely useful one if you want a lot of options within reach of your hotel.

Bright, busy, and unmistakably built for tourists — big signage, tour buses, families walking between attractions, and a steady mix of chain restaurants and one-off novelties like a upside-down house or a pirate-themed dinner show.

Walkability
Uneven — the area around ICON Park has sidewalks and a genuinely walkable cluster of restaurants and attractions, but I-Drive runs about 11 miles end to end, so most visitors drive or use the I-Ride Trolley to cover more than a few blocks.
Noise at night
International Drive itself carries steady traffic noise, but most hotels sit set back from the road, and side streets are noticeably quieter at night.

Transportation & practical information
