Transportation & practical information

Baht buses run along Naklua Road and Sukhumvit Road connecting south to Central Pattaya for a flat fare. Grab and metered taxis are also widely available. Suvarnabhumi Airport is roughly 1.5–2 hours away by road.

Not necessary for a stay focused on Central Pattaya, Jomtien, or Naklua — baht buses and Grab cover the main beach corridor well. A rental car or scooter becomes more useful for day trips outside the city (to Sriracha, Ban Amphur, or inland attractions), though the same licensing rules apply as elsewhere in Thailand: a motorcycle-endorsed license plus an International Driving Permit for a scooter.
