Where to Stay in Bukit Bintang, Kuala Lumpur

Bukit Bintang is Kuala Lumpur's busiest shopping and entertainment district, anchored by malls like Pavilion KL, Lot 10, and Sungei Wang Plaza, with the Jalan Alor hawker street running through the middle of it. It's the most energetic part of the city both day and night, and one of the best-connected by rail.

What it's actually like to stay here

Dense and lively, closer to a big Asian city's downtown than KLCC's corporate calm — neon signs, packed shopping malls by day, and Jalan Alor's food stalls filling up from early evening well into the night.

Best for first-time visitors who want to be in the middle of the city's shopping, dining, and nightlife, and for budget travelers, since Bukit Bintang has a much wider spread of hotel prices than KLCC right next door.
