Bus line 20 runs from Bariloche's downtown terminal along Avenida Bustillo to Puerto Pañuelo roughly every 20 minutes, stopping near Cerro Campanario and covering much of the route, though not the full Circuito Chico loop. A rental car, taxi, or organized tour covers the loop's full roughly 24.5 km circuit most conveniently.

You don't need a car to enjoy downtown Bariloche itself — it's walkable, and local buses cover the rest of the city. A car (or an organized tour) becomes genuinely useful if you want to drive the Circuito Chico loop at your own pace, reach Cerro Catedral or more distant viewpoints independently, or explore beyond what bus line 20 covers along Avenida Bustillo.
